Welcome to this space and thank you for following us on our homesteading journey. I don't quite know what this blog space will turn into because we are not experts in any sense. We are learning as we go and making mistakes. But let me tell you, we are laughing and loving every second of the process.
I think the most important lesson I've learned thus far is to take it slow. I can be an impatient person. I like to start hobbies and projects left and right! But it's been key to consider each endeavor slowly and carefully because our desire is to do this right and be successful.
We started with 4 chickens in our track home. Chickens are a great place to start if you are looking to add farm animals to your own homestead. I must have researched how to care for chickens for 5 months before we jumped in. I thought we could never do it! I was overwhelmed. But, as with most things in life, the best way to learn is to do. And so it began. And so it continues...
